Principles of Health and Safety within the Workplace level 1 (RQF)

This qualification is designed for those learners either currently working or those returning or starting work and wishing to gain a nationally recognised qualification in health and safety.
The objective of the qualification is to:-

• prepare learners to progress into further/higher level training

The qualification provides learners with an understanding of the main responsibilities of employees and employers with regards to health and safety. It also provides an understanding of how the workplace can affect health and safety.

This qualification is assessed by a multiple-choice examination, where the learner must answer at least 9 out of 15 questions correctly.  The examination will take a maximum of 30 minutes to complete.

This qualification is approved for delivery to learners aged 14+.

Learners successfully completing this qualification may wish to progress onto further qualifications, such as:

• Highfield Level 2 Award in Health and Safety within the Workplace (RQF)

The Highfield Level 1 Award in the Principles of Health and Safety within the Workplace (RQF) has been developed and is awarded by Highfield Qualifications and sits on the Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF). The RQF is a qualification framework regulated by Ofqual. It is also suitable for delivery in Wales and is regulated by Qualifications Wales.
